David C. Fowler, AIA, is principal and senior designer with Dallas-based firm three, where he brings to bear 20-plus years of experience specializing in the design of highly detailed residential and hospitality projects. Trained at Clemson University’s School of Architecture, Fowler established his own practice in 2000 in Atlanta, during which period he was named in Atlanta Homes and Lifestyle’s “Hot 100 People, Places, & Things defining Atlanta Style.” His extensive portfolio exemplifies the merging of vision, craft and technique. Fowler is currently at work on the Cap Rock Clubhouse-Complex for the legendary Horseshoe Bay Golf Resort outside of Austin, TX, and new resorts on the islands of Nevis and St. Kitts. Notable hospitality design work by three includes Hotel Emma (San Antonio, TX), Rosewood Mayakoba Resort, MX and Mahekal Beach Resort (Playa del Carmen, MX), The Peninsula Beverly Hills, Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek (Dallas, TX), and a major renovation of the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa.
