Mary Beth serves as EVP & Chief Development Officer at HVMG, a nationally recognized hotel owner and operator of full-service hotels and resorts, and select-service hotels consisting of premium branded properties with Hard Rock, Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, and IHG. The company also specializes in operating independent boutique and lifestyle hotels including four-diamond resorts.
With over 30+ years in the hospitality industry, Mary Beth has been actively involved in hotel real estate transactions with an approximate valuation of $1.3+ Billion. She has deep experience in operations, development, and M&A and leads HVMG’s team on acquisitions, dispositions, development, and third-party management agreements including deal sourcing, origination, underwriting, due diligence, and the selections of real estate investment opportunities. Since joining HVMG in 2011, the company’s revenues have grown in access of 300% and its national hotel portfolio has more than doubled.
Passionate about women ownership and leadership diversity, Mary Beth founded Amara Capital, a top hotel equity platform for women investors to gain access into hospitality real estate, and give women “a seat at the ownership table”.
Honored in 2017 as one of the 30 Influential Women in Hospitality by Hotel Management Magazine and in 2019 by Atlanta Magazine as one of Atlanta’s Most Powerful Leaders, Mary Beth is a frequent speaker at hotel investment conferences. Mary Beth is also an active board member and past President of the Atlanta Hospitality Alliance, a founding board member of the Castell Project, a national initiative increasing leadership diversity within the hospitality industry, and a member of Marriott International’s Women Supporting Women Council.
