HOW CAN I CANCEL MY HOTEL RESERVATIONS?


If you booked hotel accommodations in the BDNY 2020 hotel block via our official housing vendor, onPeak, your reservation will be automatically canceled. If you booked a hotel reservation outside the onPeak system and the BDNY 2020 block, you must cancel/transfer your hotel reservation on your own.

WHAT IS THE PLAN FOR THE 2020 GOLD KEY AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN HOSPITALITY DESIGN COMPETITION AND GALA?


Due to a large number of requests, we have extended the Gold Key Awards competition entry deadline to Friday, July 31. Judging will take place virtually this later this summer, and all finalists and winners will be recognized in Boutique Design magazine online and in print. As of now, the Gold Key Awards gala is scheduled to take place as planned. We will continue to monitor and make adjustments to this event as warranted, as the health and safety of all participants is our top priority.

WHAT ARE THE DATES AND LOCATION FOR BDNY 2021?


November 14-15, 2021 at the Javits Center in New York City.

HOW DO I RESERVE A BOOTH FOR BDNY 2021?


You will have the opportunity to confirm your booth location for BDNY 2021, tentatively set to begin September 7. In addition to the details listed below, further information will be forthcoming on this process.

WILL I GET THE SAME BOOTH LOCATION FOR BDNY 2021?


We will be reaching out to all companies who contracted a booth for BDNY 2020, which will include companies who recently canceled due to COVID-19 to discuss renewal options. We will also include companies that reserved a booth for BDNY 2020 but had not officially contracted yet due to COVID-19. Please note that if you had already canceled your participation there is a possibility that the booth your originally reserved was rebooked and may not be available. If this is the case, our team will work with you based on your priority status to rebook you into a comparable booth location. Please also note that due to new COVID-19 requirements by the Javits Center, the 2021 floorplan will not match exactly the 2020 version.

WHAT IS THE DEADLINE FOR LETTING YOU KNOW IF MY COMPANY STILL WANTS THE SAME BOOTH LOCATION/SIZE FOR 2021?


We plan to start the renewal process by September 7 in order of BDNY priority points. You will receive a form in the coming weeks to complete to alert us of your renewal and deposit desires.

WHAT IF I WANT THE SAME BOOTH SIZE AND GENERAL LOCATION FOR 2021, BUT I AM UNABLE TO SIGN A CONTRACT RIGHT NOW?


During this unprecedented time, we are certainly aware this could be an issue, and we will do all we can to be as flexible as possible. Please contact your account executive to discuss further options. In most cases we can reserve your desired location provided a payment plan is signed.

IS THE FLOORPLAN STAYING THE SAME FOR BDNY AND HX FOR 2021?


No, because of new rules surrounding COVID-19, the floorplan for 2021 will be slightly different. In cases where your exact booth location is no longer available, we will work with you based on your priority standing to secure a comparable booth location.

DO I NEED TO MAKE A DEPOSIT TO SECURE MY BOOTH?


As is normal procedure, we will be asking for a deposit of one-third of the total booth cost upon signing of your contract as a deposit to secure your space. If you need more time for your deposit, then please talk to your account executive about a payment plan.

CAN I ROLL FUNDS PAID TOWARDS BDNY 2020 TO BDNY 2021?


Yes, you can transfer the money you have paid for your 2020 booth to 2021. We are not increasing the renewing booth rate, so the cost of the booth will remain the same unless you change the size of your booth. We recommend an ACH transfer for at least the deposit to avoid paying a 2.5% fee for credit cards. If you have paid more in 2020 than is required for your 2021 deposit, you will have the option to roll over the full amount towards your 2021 booth, or you can request the balance be refunded.

CAN I DOWNSIZE MY SPACE AND STILL BE IN THE GENERAL SAME LOCATION?


Possibly. Please let your account executive know you wish to downsize, and they will work with you to see what can be done.

CAN I UPSIZE MY SPACE AND STILL BE IN THE SAME LOCATION?


Possibly. Please let your account executive know you wish to upsize, and they will work with you to see what can be done.

CAN I CHANGE MY PREFERENCE OF STANDARD OR PREMIUM BOOTH PACKAGE FOR BDNY 2021?


Yes, please let us know when you contract your 2021 booth if you want the standard or premium package.

WILL MY SPONSORSHIPS AUTOMATICALLY ROLL OVER TO 2021?


We would love for you to do any contracted or verbally confirmed sponsorships with us again. Please talk to your account executive to confirm.
