Boutique Design (BD) magazine is proud to unveil its annual Up-and-Coming Hotelier recognition, celebrating emerging leaders who are redefining the hospitality experience through fresh ideas and forward-thinking approaches to design and operations.
This year’s recipients are Ben Weinberg and Mike Weiss, cofounders of Trailborn, an outdoor-centric hotel brand rooted in iconic natural destinations.
Since launching in December 2023, Trailborn has grown at a rapid pace. Earlier this year, the brand welcomed its fourth property, Trailborn Surf & Sound, in North Carolina’s Wrightsville Beach, expanding a portfolio that already includes destinations in the Highlands, the Grand Canyon, and the Rocky Mountains. New hotels in Mendocino, California, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, are slated to follow.
Weinberg and Weiss will be profiled in the Fall 2025 issue of Boutique Design magazine, where they share the origins of Trailborn and their vision for the brand’s future.
