Sarah Dusek

Co-Founder & CEOFew & Far

After selling her first travel company Under Canvas in 2018, for more than $100 million,
Sarah Dusek launched Enygma Ventures a US based venture capital fund to invest in Africa’s
talented female entrepreneurs and contribute towards rectifying the great funding
imbalance. Over the last 5 years Sarah’s work has impacted over 10,000 entrepreneurs who
have gone through Enygma’s investor-ready programs to learn how to build valuable,
companies, demystify the complicated and often inaccessible world of funding. In her new
book “Thinking Bigger: A Pitch Deck Formula For Women Who Want To Change the World”,
Sarah shares the challenges of her own journey building a $100 million company and shares
the critical building blocks needed to scale any business.
Today Sarah is the CoFounder & CEO of Few & Far, a net positive travel/climate company
investing in large scale regeneration of landscapes, carbon sequestration and creating
extraordinary travel experiences. She recently opened her newest lodge Few & Far
Luvhondo, set the Soutpansberg mountains of Limpopo, South Africa – an area larger than
Singapore which represents 100,000 hectares of incredible biodiversity but remains under
serious threat from mining claims and deforestation. Sarah aims to reimagine the safari
experience by pioneering the world’s first aerial safari and creating very unique experiences
in this remote part of South Africa. Sarah believes business can be, and should, be a force
for good driving our world forward.

Hotel development pipelines hit record highs in 2026.Travel is a $1.37 trillion market in the U.S. The data is clear: Now is the time to rethink how hospitality projects come to be. Owners, developers, investors and brands have a unique opportunity to capitalize on the strength of the industry to rewrite the rulebook. Conventional development thinking considers the hotel as an asset first and foremost. The question is “What can we build here?” Now, development, financial strategy, ownership, conservation and creative direction are sitting at the table together asking “What can this place become and how can it serve the guest, the land and the community?” Hear from leaders in design, ownership and strategy on how they’re building an integrated model, one where capital, operations, guest experience and design begin shaping the project together from the start. Find out what skills designers need to build to elevate their role upstream in the development process. Learn how pioneering clients are redefining the “what” and the “how” of hospitality development. Can hotels change the world? In 2026, the answer is yes - and design plays a central role in powering that positive impact on the guest, community, ecology and yes, business model.
